The critical thinking part of your brains were on the fritz, obviously, because you've all received a death shot into your bodies, willingly! Hence why when you said "a lot of us DIDN'T THINK", the didn't think part is the most important and telling part of your statement, so tell me again about how you have a functioning brain.

A lot of us didn't think people could be so evil - or didn't want to see it. There are lots of reasons.
Regardless of the reason, our brains were very functional.
