they're attempting to trade specifically russian oil with the creation of digital gold backed currency.
its not a gold rouble, but a gold backed deposit (critically measured in US dollars) of roubles in India, and Rupees in Russia.
please explain how this could destroy the USD?
how could moving away from the dollar really help china or russia?
the only way russia weathered the sanctions was by closing off their economy. exposing the rouble to fluctuations outside of russian sovereignty or Chinese exposing the yuan to policies outside their controlled economy carries far more risk than reward.

If you traded currency , as you stated , you would know exactly what will happen. Must be a keyboard expert!
people have been crying wolf about the dollar since I first listened to my dad trade currency at 11 years old.
you couldn't even spell "rouble" in your first comment.
Russian spelling of ruble is r-u-b-l-e. Hahahahahaha, look it up. And quit being a crotch cricket!
Russia doesn't use the Latin alphabet. They use Cyrillic.
Rouble in Russian is рубль.
Not just Russian oil, Saudi oil (OPEC)too!
