California ends plans for kids’ Covid vaccine mandate

The end of the state's Covid-19 state of emergency this month effectively ends plans to require kids to be vaccinated against the virus.

San Diego Unified mandated it for the current school year, demanding kids be vaccinated by August 2022 to go to school in person. SDUSD were sued and the court ordered that districts can't mandate the covid injection, only the state. There were a bunch of suits against the state for the mandate that started July 1, 2023. I believe the state has backed down because they know they won't win in court.
