I was thinking about the push for electric cars, and the increasing stories of batteries, exploding and highway fires, that took thousands of gallons of water to put out.
I can’t imagine filling garages full of these electric cars and having inferior batteries explode. (Can you imagine the recall on these batteries when hundreds have exploded in family homes?)
Not only destroying the car and the family home, but the lives inside. And if they burn to such the high temperature, will it lead to neighbors fires as well?
I’ll stick with my gasoline!

2/24/22 - A cargo ship carrying 4,000 luxury cars sinks near Portugal after burning for weeks.
The ship was carrying an estimated $401m (£295m) worth of cars, including Porsche, Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini models, has sunk nearly two weeks in the Azores after a fire broke out onboard. The ship can carry 4,000 vehicles.
The Felicity Ace sank on Tuesday about 400 kilometers (250 miles) off Portugal’s Azores Islands as it was being towed. A salvage team had put out the fire which had burned for days, fueled by lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles onboard. The men onboard were saved by a rescue team from Portugal.
Authorities fear that thousands of tons of fuel carried onboard could leak and pollute the ocean
