Listening to the the morning news today there was a headline about a “fungal infection” outbreak in our area called Valley Fever. The claim is that this outbreak is being caused by “warming temperatures” and could “spread nationwide”. For any of you who have been watching the HBO miniseries called “The last of us”, the premise revolves around a global pandemic that is caused by a fungus due to global warming. You can’t make this shit up!

Are you sure it is that particular fungus killing your trees? I have a fungus that attacks my cherry trees, use copper sulfide powder on it to kill it. Have lost some trees though, a few dreary days and that fungus can get everywhere FAST. It is not Valley fever tho. Also, My neighbors were constantly having mosquito squad spraying to kill ticks, and ALL her trees died from the poison, her husband died from it too and the nice neighbor lady. The shit is NASTY, and will aggravate medical conditions. Oh and all my bee hives,... dead. Never had a problem with my bees until then.
That’s disastrous!
Thank God she moved last year! New neighbors have kids and are awake and do not want to poison their kids!
Doesn't copper kill trees?
The fungus I am talking about is called "Black Knot". So if you apply it directly to the fungal tumor (the black knot), which is no longer the tree, you may have a chance to save the rest of the tree.
