My grandfather was a GOOD man, and a Mason, God rest his soul. He would NOT participate in any of the things you mention. He did many, many good things for his community, and was a solid Christian. He raised a good, solid family during the Depression and War years.
You can't categorically condemn every person like you have.
My grand father was a 32 degree mason, and he was accused we doing of some sus things. My dad told me about them after he died, and said he never believed them, but I'm not sure. He also appeared to be a good man.
That’s where you are wrong, i did not condemn anyone. I did express disapproval because my litmus for right and wrong are not dependent on my own changing whims and perceptions.. But I did not sentence anyone to any sort of punishments. Secret societies with private rituals and oaths deserve their ridicule. I will not stop because you got offended. I hear this argument all the time and it is baseless of facts. Your feelings about your grandparents cloud your vision about the nature of the organization. It would be better if you actually read the masonic texts and then said you were still fine with it. Far less lazy on your part, anyhow.
