No, it's not the lack of straight white males under 60, that's been a thing. No, I'm seeing a ton of "California Closets" commercials where your dwelling is made up of hideaway beds and desks, etc. And then I'm seeing a completely different company selling something else and the couple gets out of a...hideaway fold up bed. Setting the mental stage slaves. Stay in your small cubicles while the elites get acres and acres of land to see you coming 20 miles away.

Home ownership was the American dream. “My grandpa built this house with his bare hands” was a common phrase 50 years ago. Sears Roebuck had a house for sale in their catalog that a person with reasonable skills could assemble.
My grandfather built a Sears Roebuck house in Arkansas— I loved it — gone now and property is now a corporation farm ( he raised seven kids in the 30’s — their mom — my grandmother died when my mother was 10) life is a bitch but people manage to pull through— culls out the weak I guess
