I liked it when I was younger because it meant history class actually covered more interesting stuff closer to our time. Tuskegee airmen, Buffalo soldiers, Claudette Colvin inspiring the Rosa Parks idea, and of course i loved hearing Dr. King's speeches
Now, yeah, it is all division. The framing is so different...it used to be positioned as inspirational and learning from those different than you and now it is judgmental and making you feel guilty or ashamed.

You echo my thoughts, exactly. We had black history in high school 30 years ago. It was called American history. Part of the fabric of America.
