Valley Fever is an old story in Phoenix. Most people soon get it because it's in the dust. In fact it is in the dust all over the Sonoran Desert and the San Joaquin Valley (hence the name). It can be fatal, especially to immune compromised and diabetics. Also, dogs can get it, and it can attack the bones and be fatal. Most people just get over it, which is a good thing because systemic fungicides are brutal. I suspect if it's spreading it's due to the same "climate change" that causes sudden death. In a cold winter like most of the country has been having, we get more visitors trying to get warm. That's another climate-related cause.
