Luft does not mean red, which it is in the original.

I always thought it did as a kid when the song came out.

Wonder why the change.

Luft means Air, so I assume in English it would be repetitive to say Air Balloon cause people just say balloon. So someone just added red to make lyrics sync up. Maybe?
