Well the use of a simile to compare two items does not mean they are the same only that there is a comparison of characteristics. Jesus is not and never will be a thief...he has created and possesses everything you see...and that is exactly why satan can be accurately called a thief...he has created nothing, owns nothing and only possesses anything by his deceitful, lying ways. The Bible is certainly not inaccurate when describing Satan vs. Jesus...
