The symbols do NOT belong to the Cabal just because they attempt to own or manipulate them. They are not literal magical incantations.
Hermes was/is not man nor literal god and his Caduceus as 'magic wand' or staff is symbolic also, not literal. Hermes as harmony/order in the use of any force.
