No. Revealing CCP spy craft in US territory would have inflamed the American public, and cast a negative public opinion against the CCP. That in turn would have given Trump immense negotiations leverage, and potential to [hard core] sanction the CCP- something our globo-homo military and intel agencies do not want to happen, obviously.
