So. 15-minute hellscapes, er cities: "Downtown Westminster" Colorado.

This is their idea of what to do with basically a mall that was going out of business, and some undeveloped land around it next to the fucking highway where no-one would be that thrilled to live (though there is a light rail station close)(such as it is, that's whole other debacle*). And nowhere anywhere near the older part of town you might have thought would actually be a more desirable destination (like most suburbs around here!).

Communist bloc ugly ass architecture? ✔
Various fancy-ish places to hang and spend money? ✔
Bowlero? I.e. Homogenized chain social spot with stuff to do/drinking/etc? ✔

I could go on but it's just freakin' spooky and yes people are moving into this place. I just noticed the Bowlero going by on my bicycle over the weekend actually - I honestly don't know if it's pretty new or an old bowling alley that just happened to be there that I didn't know about or what (I don't think so on the latter though)....

Oh, and did you catch Westminster's pyramid logo? Small image but this one has it AND the obelisk at city hall.

*Light rail here is gay-ass - going into downtown, no-one wanted track next to them, so basically to get most places you have to get off train then take a damn bus anyway.
