Most of the world is suffering on more extreme levels than we are and rightfully so.
It's fitting that we feel as though the tide is turning and that help is on the way. That's exactly how it would be if sudden destruction was on the horizon. The enemy would do everything possible to build a state of complacency with the inhabitants of Mystery Babylon. After all Myster Babylon will be destroyed in one hour. How else could it happen unless the inhabitants had been effectively put under a spell of lies and confusion (as we currently are)?
How could most be deceived as to not see the signs before their ultimate destruction? Could it be a medium we call MSM propagandizing it's populace? Could it be false hope projected on the unsuspecting masses who aren't under the MSM delusion?
After all, we are told that the delusion would be so strong that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived.
All of the signs are here for those with God given discernment. Half of this country or more is oblivious to the times we are in. Many who claim to be awake are hung up on man made solutions that they believe will deliver them from their enemies.
Few and I mean very few don't subscribe to either camp. The question is, are you truly seeking His wisdom and understanding? Can you confidently say that you are apart of His very elect? Or are you deceiving yourself in believing that the cause you are following is the true and righteous path that God has set you on? These are some of the few things we all must ask ourselves, if we in fact want to be called by His name.
I'm always asking myself these uncomfortable questions so as to not deceive myself. Are you?
Wow, that's some whacky allegations for a 'Christian' type. Christianity is first and foremost cognitive...and never otherwise. Our thoughts and actions are governed by cognitive obedience to the Decalogue. Going back to Rev. 17:5, it states: "And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY,
BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
The verse above lists 4 separate designations all separated by commas/AND. It is MYSTERY (comma) BABYLON THE GREAT, not MYSTERY BABYLON. This is a common error that leads to misinterpretation. The word - 'name' is used and is not plural, but singular. In the Greek 'name' is -- 'onoma' (G686) meaning in the case, (a) the name is used for everything which the name covers, everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing, remembering, the name, i.e. for one's rank, authority, interests, pleasure, command, excellences, deeds etc. (b) persons reckoned up by name.
Here is a writing I did over a year ago. 01-21-21 Being Filled With the holy Spirit. The rest is from another writing I did many years before that.
When we worship we are filled with the body of Christ, especially in the House of God where believers gather to be one voice before our Lord and Savior. Everyone knows in their heart whether they worship or not. When we do truly worship in each of us, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and by our faith alone we are protected from all evil. I am speaking of true faith; the pouring out of our spirit to be Christ's anointed. In the community of worship, it has been shown time again that our voices are strengthen and miracles of all sorts are commonplace. The sanctity of our body is that place the Holy Spirit visits and resides. I don't know about you, but I have a huge 'welcome' sign and my door is left open for the Holy Spirit. In the House of God, there is no Bogeyman of an unseen, undetectable, un-isolated virus that can harm us in the House of God. By faith alone it is defeated by our Master Jesus Christ.
What is the [holy] Spirit?
Now, if I translated from the Greek how the [holy] Spirit is defined. There is so much more of an understanding of what the [holy] Spirit is contrasted to what is being taught. The earliest Bible we have is the Greek Septuagint. The Septuagint was used widely by the early Christians exclusively as their Old Testament Bible. This is a widely accepted fact and that the quotations of Christ and His Apostles that occur in the New Testament are taken exclusively from the Septuagint. According to tradition,Ptolemy Philadelphus, who purchased the freedom of Israelites in his territories, arranged for 6 scholars from each of the 12 tribes to translate the first five books of the Old Testament from the ancient Hebrew into Greek around 285 BC. By this time, a practical knowledge of the Hebrew language was all but lost among the Hellenized Israelites citizens.
After the conquests of Alexander the Great, Greek had become the common language of the known world. So Ptolemy gathered 72 scholars in Alexandria, Egypt and they completed the Pentateuch (first five Books of the OT). The Latin name 'Septuagint', meaning 70, was later, applied to the translation. Both 'The Letter of Aristeas', who was an assistant of Ptolemy and the historian Flavius Josephus record in detail the history of the making of the Septuagint. It is unclear when the rest of the OT was finished in the Septuagint, but it was certainly finished by 150 BC. The original Hebrew OT are now lost in antiquity.
Having stated this, I needed to give a foundation to why I'm using the Greek for translating when I'm talking about the [holy] Spirit. The word 'holy' is no where to be found in any manuscripts. It is a word added by the patristic writers to the Scripture. Instead of 'Spirit', we have [holy] Spirit. The word 'holy' basically means 'separated'. It helps better understand and separate this Spirit from other spirits. The Greek word for 'Spirit' is 'pneuma'. We see this in English words like 'pneumatic' or 'pneumonia'. It means in the Greek-- "a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze." The meaning goes further to include -- "by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the holy Spirit:--ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind." The root word of 'pneuma' is 'pneo' -- to breathe hard, i.e. breeze:--blow.
The reason I've mentioned this is the [holy Spirit] is not at all like the allegorical Zeus-like figure, but something else. The word 'pneuma' is closely associated to the Greek word 'psuche', which means -- "1. breath (a) the breath of life (1) the vital force which animates the body and shows itself in breathing of animals and of men. (b) life (c) that in which there is life (1) a living being, a living soul. 2. the soul (a) the seat of feelings, desires, affections, aversions, (our heart, soul, etc.) (b) the (human) soul in so far as it is constituted that by the right use of the aids offered it by God it can attain its highest end and secure eternal blessedness, the soul regarded as a moral being designed for everlasting life. (c) the soul as an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death (distinguished from other parts of the body)."
The meaning of the [holy] Spirit goes much deeper than I presented here. The point is the [holy] Spirit is an Intelligence; a Mentality of Separation that is everywhere and is exemplified throughout Nature and Nature's Laws. In fact, in Thayer and Smith, "The New Testament Greek Lexicon" we are told to compare this to the Greek word 'psuchikos' --1. produced by nature, inborn 2. agreeable to nature 3. governed by (the instincts of) nature.
The [holy] Spirit is a Mentality of Separation; an Intelligence governing all of Nature's life and its Laws, to which Christians have a special relationship when in accordance to God's Divine order. Our body's temple receives the [holy] Spirit as a shekinah; the brilliant spark; the fire of his presence and glory of God and yet He is everywhere; in the air; breeze; blow; breath of life....
Care to tell me your definition of pharmakeia is? It means more than just 'sorcery'.
I had this real nice, long message typed out. Even felt [holy] spirit inspired.
Then I realized this is too exhausting. To try to show someone spiritual things. Particularly when they are carnal in their thinking. So I deleted and I'll leave you with this.
I stand by my comment and my post. I only deleted my last comment because I misspoke about your response in another post. Which is my mistake and I apologize for that.
Strong's has a good definition and meaning of pharmakeia. I'm sure you have more to add to it. I get a sense you have a lot to add to a lot.
Sometimes it's best to keep it simple.
Spirituality is always based from cognition. The blessing of being born spiritual is from conation. It is never emotionally based. That is an outcome from the experience. And I agree with you that you did indeed "misspoke". You as a putative Christian, one should never make unfounded declarations less it be interpreted as emotional over-reaction and bearing false witness.
Strong's is okay for neophytes, but it tends to mislead. The understanding of the bible is never keep[ing] it simple. There's more to understand than we know.
