He is coming! The return of our Lord is drawing near! What a wonderful and indescribable promise! As we consider the evil in this world, our anticipation and excitement for His glorious return overcomes us. Although the day and the hour is a mystery, we can be eagerly watching for that magnificent day when the saints are caught up to be with the Lord forevermore (1 Thessalonians 4:17). This is our excellent comfort. This is our glorious delight.

Fren, Christ will come suddenly and unexpectedly, like a thief in the night when everyone is asleep. Christ warned us to be watching and waiting. When he does come, then every eye shall see him, as he will appear in the sky. First the "saints who sleep" will be resurrected, and then the saints who are alive and remain will be instantly translated into their glorified bodies and meet Christ "in the air."
2 Peter 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and its works will be laid bare.
Revelation 3:3 Remember, then, what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know the hour when I will come upon you.
1 Thessalonians 4 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
After Christ gathers his Bride, he will destroy his enemies.
Nowadays, I find myself "looking up" frequently.
