Ha I feel you.. I need a vacation too, all of the covid restrictions made us all look at our vacation destinations in a whole new light. I’m so thankful my wife and I canceled our honeymoon to Hawaii, months after everything was booked their local government went full blown stasi. I have zero interest in giving Hawaii my hard earned money to be treated like a contaminated invader.
Honestly I may take your advice, I love Mexican culture, the food, the music, the architecture and design. Actually have a trip planned later this year for a resort south of San Francisco, So I’ll be stepping in the belly of the beast, wish us luck LOL
Haha I can understand that, thanks for the advice! would you have any recommendations on areas of the city to check out? We like art museums, wineries and stuff like that, but we only plan to spend one day in SF then it’s back to Half moon Bay
Airbnb bullied their way into Cities and Nations all over the World. They drove people out of their own Cities because they made it a playground for Greed, that drove up rents by shrinking rental units available. Every City should reverse engineer the damage and bill it to AIRBNB.
Create a People owned BNB Corporation. allow rooms to be rented only during the busy seasons. Synchronize that homes and rooms are made available, when occupants are themselves traveling. Do it in a rotating order and only for long time residents. Efforts to show a greater pride in your City and Nation get you more rentals.
The beauty about a small group of heroes saving the World, the ability to move mountains is the aim. Without sound capitalization and proper growth strategies, we will lose.much of our quality of life.
During the phase out, any future rental revenue must remain in the Nation. Where our money flows in the Corporate scams still standing will be under abig watchful eye.
My son who’s early 30s was just telling me about a shift in AirBnb - his generation is now choosing to go back to hotels because you get more amenities & parking -etc for the price - plus he said you can gage the neighborhood better - so looks like they may have already peaked lol
Although I disagree with cancelling people, I have had great experiences with Airbnb. I travelled all over the USA for 10 months last year and stayed mostly at airbnbs because it's so much less expensive than hotels. Some were only $50 a night for a guest suite. I became friends with many of my hosts and already returned to one of them. Almost all of them were very conservative and we had some great conversations. I stayed at some VRBOs as well that were great too.
After their “Black Box Team” was revealed I don’t know why anyone would chose Airbnb over Vrbo..

Vrbo is Expedia and I used Expedia for years. Airbnb got political so I said fuck em.
I chose neither now. I think the last time I used them were back in 2018

Go to Mexico. They treat you very nice. I just went to Cancun.

I would not go to SF. I used to live there and love to go there. I still have good friend in Santa Rosa. I could easily travel there. No thanks.

I always like Golden Gate Park and the hills over Golden Gate Bridge and Marin headlands.
There's museums and wineries in those locations.

I used them b4 but I stopped for some reason.

so you think we should control and be controlled in what we can do with property we own?
Sounds good. I hope we can do that.

I went back to hotels after 3 airbnb. Didn't like the vibes; might be what your son said.

Was it AirBNB the company that cancelled her or the owners of the home? Owners of the home, I'm ok with cancelling her reservation, AirBNB I am not.
Seems to be the platform itself according to the story
Platform cancel her mom.
Just an FYI on that AirBnB shit, almost every house that is rented out is rigged for video and sound, You're being recorded.
Oh. Didn't even think of that.
