This guy wasn't clambering to send us to concentration camps. He just plays football and likely never payed attention to politics AT ALL.
Literally someone who plays football in college that's all they do. Get up at 5 am, train, go to classes, train some more, go to sleep and get up at 5 am. The guy probably had a scholarship that payed for his school. He is just cattle.
Sometimes you have to choose to not be cattle and escape the ranch.
Now he's a piece of meat with a sad story.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he was a bad guy. I'm not saying he wasn't extremely coerced. I AM saying he had a CHOICE.
He chose to comply with tyranny in an attempt to preserve his personal success in a lucrative sport instead of doing what was brave.
I feel tremendously bad for the guy.
But I stand by my point. Wisdom is greater than hindsight and he chose short term personal gain over a long term life outcome with the excuse he "was forced".
I lost my job. I lost major progress in my career. I lost my family. I lost almost everything.
Was I extremely unfairly coerced?
Absolutely.
Forced?
Big fat no.
The fact that he uses that language tells me he hasn't learned his lesson and would make the same unfortunate and sad decision again.
He WAS forced to choose football or his life.
Life hands you FUCKING SHITTY decisions all the time.
Learning to stand up a CHOOSE the best long term option out of the shitty choices ahead of you is wisdom.
And he bet his life on hindsight.
You're right, he MAY have not clambered for others to get vaxxed. I have no way of knowing that. I have no way of knowing he didn't either.
But the idea he's just a football boy who's job it is to be cattle, as you put it, is a shitty mentality and exactly what got him in this situation.
