Saw a post on Truth about appointing a replacement then the seat goes back up for election in 2024. Thoght i saw something a few days ago about him being hospitalized.

Wait! What? No way. Seriously. Anyone know if this is the law? When a Senator dies the spouse takes their place... this can't be true. Anyone know for sure?

So let's say, just for giggles, that prior to getting arrested, Charlie Manson's wife (had he had one) got elected and then had to retire due to health then Charles Manson would take her place? Really? Nah, this can't be right.

A person gets appointed in their place, usually by the governor, technically could be anyone, nothing says it must be the spouse.
