As someone with a dad who's a physicist and has talked about this topics at conventions and things, this is 100% true! Due to the vastness of space, and the fact that you'd have to be going at least the speed of light - which would be pretty pretty difficult to do in the first place - for 100s of million of years to reach another galaxy, there is NO WAY that we've been visited by aliens from another galaxy.
