God created Lucifer, he rebelled, he will be punished, he knows his days are numbered. He is the great deceiver, but he's not all powerful. Everything he does is limited by God. He had to ask God's permission to bring all Jobs trials. I don't find "alien" appearances as all that great but many today (and times past) actually summon demons, talk to them, and many humans have been actually possessed. I read that other post regarding aliens the other day, and the point was made that the aliens encourage witchcraft, worship or Satan, etc, which to me only confirms who they are and to whom they bear allegiance, Satan, the father of lies. Just my take.
As an aside, which I think also determines my worldview, after having grown up dispensationalist premillenial rapture, I am now postmillenial and believe God is establishing His kingdom on earth, and the demonic powers know their time is short, thus another push to deceive. Consider reading When the Man Comes Around by Doug Wilson, and Endtimes Madness by Gary DeMar. They don't discuss aliens/demons, but to me the object of aliens and infatuation with aliens has but one goal--to deceive people into believing a lie, God didn't make people or the universe, there are many life forms in the universe, we are NOT special, the Bible is bunk, etc.
So God is allowing lucifer to take souls right now
Countless people reject Christ and choose sin, the flesh, the devil, and die in their sin.. So in that sense, yes, most do not even acknowledge the true God, let alone put faith in Christ. Most choose to worship self (humanism) or other false gods including satan (satanism). Romans is very clear that each human is without excuse before God.
So God lets Lucifer influence peoples choices.
In a sense, yes, lucifer tempted Eve to disobey God, which she did and Adam followed her lead. Since sin has entered the picture, since the fall of man, each of us is drawn away by our own lists and enticed. Satan doesn't tempt every person to every sin, we are corrupt, dead in our sin without Christ. We love our sins, honestly. Satan isn't omnipresent. I think He tempts some at sometimes, and many evil men do worship satan, but we don't need him or his minions to entice us to sin
