If you do a search for "Pizza" Google tells you it has about 2,320,000,000 results(Over 2 billion).

In the past you could go to about page 35 and you could have reached the end. Then Google would tell you there was a little more than 500 results.

The bottom of the page on google search used to be something like this

GOOOOOOOOOGLE

Page 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...

Now the bottom just says "see more->"

No matter what you searched for it was the same. They would quote you a massive number of results but in reality there were only a few hundred.

Almost nobody would look past the first few pages.

So the impression you are left with is Google is a massive search engine that is covering the entire planet. There is no reason to look anyplace else.

The reality is, Google is lying and their search engine is just a typical search engine like any other. By Pretending to be a massive search engine they have been able to control the internet. Almost nobody searches past whatever Google provides because they believe there is nothing else.
