"... The Archbishop of Canterbury claims he was “threatened with parliamentary action” in an attempt to “force same-sex marriage” in the Church of England. ... His comments come following a landmark vote at General Synod, the Church of England’s legislative body, which last week ruled in favour of the new blessings. The result threatens to divide both the Church of England and worldwide Anglican Communion. ..."
Asks ironically: whatever happened to that "separation of church and state" thing?!
I don't understand why they have to bring that stuff to the church. Get married under a tree by someone licensed by the state and leave the church alone. Next, crack heads will demand to smoke crack in church. Do they not see how misplaced their demands are? Sad.
The church is the state in England.
