I think certain substacks are a great way to introduce people to alternative media. Midwestern Doctor wrote a reflective first anniversary post yesterday. A year ago, it started with a simple history lesson and now the average post gets 50K views, a couple 2-5x that amount. I shared in the comments that I had had a conversation earlier that day with someone I just met and MWD came up. MWD responded that people have asked him if he follows MWD, which is a surreal experience as the answer is "um. yeah, I do."
