My dad asked his ICU doctor for HCQ or Ivermectin after they gave up and told family to prepare for death that night. No kidding, his doctor replied that he wouldn't give him those treatments because it might kill him.
So infuriating! After this happened to my 47 yo friend in June of 2021, who died, I joined a group of people who link patients to doctors who will prescribe it and pharmacies who will fill the scripts. The doctors told the families to find ways to get the meds in to their hospitalized loved ones. Often, they taped the small pills into a change of clothes. The liquid version went into favorite foods being delivered.
Over and over we saw patients recover within 3 to 4 days...enough to leave the hospital, anyway. They had to also refuse Remdesivir, Veklury, and the ventilator. Wow! Were they ever hounded by the hospital staff for their non-compliance! Sick!
I had received HCQ from frontline doctors so I called them. They could not legally pierce that barrier of the icu care. They wouldn't allow any visitors or any care packages from the outside. We could have gone wild west and broke him out, but he wouldn't wish that baggage on us. We are learning that hospitals were compensated on an escalating scale so we know their ethics and oath were compromised for profit. When the dust clears, these doctors and hospital administrators should own nothing and live as state slaves in 15 minute cities waiting on deliveries from the outside world that is tossing their excess, spoiled and damaged food. These devils are not humans.
Wow. It is brutal how the patients are refused the opportunity to heal! I am so sad for your loved one. Unbelievably criminal. I just can't get how hospital staff can be so greedy or ignorant.

We are almost at that stage, not for covid but for other respiratory probs. Hope your dad pulled through and is well now.
That is heart breaking.
