Have been watching the water captain but it's so fluid it keeps escaping! I did successfully trap some water in the tub, but so far my interrogation methods have been unsuccessful. It's been under observation but it's just been sitting there still!
On a for real note, happen to know of any good at home water test kits that can pick up on toxic chemicals and overall water purity that you'd recommend?
Fair dang point. That goes to all the other folk who've replied with something similar. I do have a ROF but also drink bottIed from time to time... Thinking that needs to change.
A high quality reverse osmosis system. Even if its just for drinking water, get a countertop system for 400$. Its a lot but it filters out toxic chemicals, leads, flouride, parasites, etc.
if only it were that easy. some of these bottled waters are toxic too and no systems in place to test for all these potential poisons. in fact, many bottled waters don't have as rigorous of standards as town treated water in US. tastes not to say all town waters are safe either because some pump with fluoride and most dont test for all possible harmful chemicals. been down this rabbit hole and even as a civil engineer it's unclear best water options.
I'd think a modified distillation. boil but don't capture initial vapor as this could trap and include chemicals lighter than pure h2o steam. but many suggest water with no nutrients extracts nutrients from your body and isn't good. so adding nutrients to distilled water may be best

GET A DAMN CUP, THEN, DAMN IT.
Tbh, I have no idea. I'm not a prepper, though I'm considering it.
I thought about this last night. Then I just kept wondering if you could even trust bottled water at this point. That's what I drink all day at work.

If you’re not distilling your water, you’re ngmi.
Unfortunately the plastics are not good for you either, but is the lesser of two evils.

How many water bottlers are in the affected area?
Fiji!!😯
I only purify myself with water straight from Lake Minnetonka. Nothing less.
