One dozen Happy Eggs (organic, free-range) $5.99 at Kroger. One lb. 85% ground beef from local market $7.79. Both prices unchanged in the last year. Shop smarter.
At my Kroger, 80-20 ground beef is usually $5.99-6.49 a pound
I am willing to pay more for the quality. I know where this beef comes from.

If you’re referring to grass finished then yeah that makes sense for that price.
What do they add to Kroger hamburger?
They will even grind it fresh on the spot for you while you wait.
