I'm just not sure it really makes any sense though. We know earthquakes occur naturally all the time in the area and we know large earthquakes have happened in this exact spot in the past. Its right on top of the ring of fire where earthquakes happen frequently
Are you saying that they just unleashed the earthquake earlier than it would have happened naturally? or that it never would have happened naturally?
Just in the last week there was 6 or 7 earthquakes right near that spot. you can search for "earthquake map" and see all recent earthquake activity. It seems like an occams razor situation to me. If we were seeing earthquakes in unusual spots where they dont usually occur than that would be interesting.
I'll be honest I dont really understand all the frequency stuff and how that would even set off an earthquake, but I'm not sure I buy the articles assumptions. I would have to hear both sides of that story before I chose a side I think
Certainly interesting though, thanks for sharing it
I agree. We understand enough about earthquakes to make it impossible to actually "create" one with a resonant frequency. The tension would have to already exist between the tectonic plates, then a resonant frequency might be able to release it sooner than it would otherwise. Theoretically. And with enough amplitude / volume. We're talking about the earth here, it would need to be LOUD!! Serious power. Even if delivered directly to the fault line. Let alone from 1,000's of miles away.
Then you have to address how that energy gets directed at one spot so far away.
An earthquake isn't just the earth vibrating, if HAARP could cause that it would have a very different effect. And a low frequency directed energy weapon is said to exist which disorients people. A tyrannical government could figure out an evil purpose for that, and those levels of power are much more achievable.
I'm not sure OP contains absolute proof of anything other than some kind of weirdness. Establishing that it's plausibly connectable to this earthquake comes first.

Definitely!
