I got into folk remedies in the 70's. I had 2 cats that got terribly ill, I could only afford to take one to the Vet, I went to the library and found a book called Vermont Folk Doctor (I was living in Long Beach, Long Island). I treated the cat with honey apple cider vinegar with an eye dropper every hour through the night, at about 6am, he stood up and walked to the water dish and drank, later that day, he ate. The vet bill for the other cat was over 200 bucks, a lot of money for a nurses aid to pay back then, more than a weeks pay. I got converted. I will go to the doctor if I cannot heal myself, 75% of the time, in my life, I don't need them. Now that we have the internet, no need for the library for "alternative" healing. The same bunch that make "medicines" also deal in toxic chemicals. It's not science, it's corporate scams and hiding symtpoms, most of the time, there is no healing involved. By the way, the cats made it.
