Are there any supplements anyone else is familiar with that I can take besides this? My low is to low and my high is to high, according to them. I’ve looked at my daily foods and can hardly find anything that has cholesterol in it, other than milk. Could I lose 5-8 lbs, sure..would that make a difference?

I was prescribed Accutane by my dermatologist. This caused my triglycerides to go from 191 to 498 in 30 days time. I immediately ceased taking the Accutane and after 4 months my triglycerides were down to 309. Doc put me on a statin (Crestor) which I took for 2 days and had a huge asthma attack each time. I quit taking that crap obviously.
I started taking Niacin (B3), fish oil and Jiaogulan tea. I've only been taking these for a week now though so won't know the final outcome for a few months. The Niacin is kinda hard to take with the flushing that occurs. I have to take it with a Benadryl as the itching and flushing is a bit much without it. I seem to react worse than most though. My kids said I looked like a sunburned lobster.
There are a number of other threads on GAW that discuss Niacin that you can search for. That's where I got the initial idea from in the first place.
