Good points, and sounds like you have had luck with it. I think most have a problem with point 3 because they don't understand the need for it. Maybe explain their need to depopulate. There is and always has been evil people, but most people are good and decent. Most of Germans were not bad people in the 40's, only a handful were truly evil. This is how it always happens. So, if we understand that these evil demons want full control, they must get the population down to a controllable amount. You just can't have a tyranny if you are totally overwhelmed.
