That has to be photoshopped. A train couldnt go down those tracks. We have a couple abandoned lines near me that are well over 100 years old. They havent been used in at least the 50 years Ive lived here. I walk them all the time and they still run pretty straight and true. I live in SE Michigan where the freeze thaw cycle is intense.

That said, treating the railroads with indifferent contempt while handing out fat federal subsidies to airlines and highway builders has been a DC tradition since the end of WWII.
