Yes I read this.

The burning of the chemicals was the EPA and NS decision. His son said if the tankers reached 150 plus degrees they would explode. This would be catastrophic. When they did the control burn off the temperature was already at 130 plus degrees.

This was told directly told to him from the mayor.
