Widespread auto updates going on?

So I just saw this post from yesterday:

Last night my Ford Bronco wanted to do an update and said the same type of things (your car won’t be accessible, etc). Never had that before in the 8 months I’ve owned it. Anyone else with a different model or brand get that? Anyone else find it strange Chevy and Ford both have the same type of update put out at the same time?

Been noticing an uptick in all kinds of odd updates around the home last few weeks too. PC, Apple TV, iphone,.....issues out of the blue having to reset router and modem etc. Not a coincidence, feels like something is definitely going on behind the scenes....
