Dean Devlin explains why 'The Ark' isn't 'woke' sci-fi: 'There's an attempt to politicize everything now'

Devlin says that his new Syfy series is the opposite of the "dark, edgy" shows that have been popular in recent years.

I agree. I love good sci-fi and will give any new show a fighting chance. This is abyssmal, honestly. And saying this is "non-woke" is a load of shit. A ship commanded by and run by a crew of Millenial and Gen Z twits meant to "save humanity"? It just doesn't work
