I see. I appreciate the clarification. Here are my thoughts:
The young (pre egoic download, age 3-4) absorb the currents of thought from their mother/caretaker/surroundings, be it negative, positive, loving, fearful, etc. Should they spend lengthy periods in hospitals, they absorb the thought of the sick and infirm around them, as well as the worry/concern of the nurses doctors tending to them. Thus, they are highly susceptible to "take on" these worries they are enmeshed in.
Technically, we all absorb the currents of thought from the people and surroundings we place ourselves in. It's just that adults have developed stronger powers to resist the lower thought-currents when exposed to them, while the child is still an innocent babe in the woods yet unable to defend itself on this level.
Should the young child be reared in a disruptive home environment, filled with discordant thought and vibration, they are like innocent sponges and are highly vulnerable to a whole host of "Mysterious" ailments, which are all bundled into the non-existence, fraudulent, entirely unproven "immune deficiency" category, which is, in reality, a meaningless diagnosis lacking a shred of scientific evidence to back it up.
One of the most common clients I've worked with the past few years are middle-aged women diagnosed with "lyme dis-ease". Utter poppycock. All but one has fully released her symptoms once she understood the cause (self-devaluation, most frequently due to feelings of loss of beauty/attractiveness).
But I appreciate your comments. I'll be sure to include some comments on the young with future questioners. Thank you for helping me get better at what I do. I appreciate it!
