Does this change the narrative? Someone had a bomb - you know those " right wingers" or "the trains are safe and no change in regulations are needed or who knows.
think PVC in this matter is near irrelevant. unless I'm mistaken seems like it's just the pipe material used to build bomb. could just as easily been a metal pipe or pressure cooker
It's all speculation yet but it could have meant to serve as a fake reason for a derailment. As in, "witnessess saw fire from an explosion under train when it derailled..." Who knows.
Casted pipe certainly sends more shrapnel but if we're trying to derail a train we don't even need metal or PVC. Enough cardboard and black powder would work (think giant M-80).
Poly vinyl chloride is the same as PVC. Vinyl chloride is monomer which is polymerized to make PVC.
Just to add to that in case anyone doesn't know... PVC is an abbreviation of “poly vinyl chloride.”
I'm wondering if there was a tanker train carrying hazmat scheduled to pass by...
