I’m happy you got out of a blue state hell hole. I too personally know a lot of people who left Illinois and went to Florida. But, they did back when Scott was Governor.

I suspect President Trump’s team has the demographic and economic data to back up his Truth post. Your personal experience and motivations no doubt influenced a lot of people to make the same decision to move to Florida. Without dedicating too much time to digging, I figured most of the population gain in Florida came well before Covid hit. And, it looks like Covid did cause it to spike back up.
