The board HAD to know that this was going to be the end result. I wonder if the DS got to one or more of them. Blackmail, physical threat to family? The way they're acting is weird. The excuses are incredibly lame. I'm suprised that there wasn't an accusation of sexual misconduct. Because they always throw that in. For good measure.
Which leads me to wonder if the board had acted under duress. The lame issues then make more sense. The lack of sexual misconduct is key. Saying he's mean is just dumb.
