The thing is though Hitler and the Nazis probably weren't the monsters history and the media have painted them as. They lost a war, so of course they'll be vilified. Especially since those who write history and run the media are by and large controlled by the people who caused the unrest that gave rise to the Nazis in the first place.
Seriously, looking at the other comments here, why do you all unquestionably repeat what you've been told all our lives? You see the propaganda and the gaslighting happen in real time, from the george floyd riots, to covid, to Jan 6, to war in Ukraine. Especially the war in Ukraine.
I don't doubt Nazi atrocities, but they pale in comparison to commie atrocities. Why don't we have movies about those atrocities? Why don't we have Alexander Solzhenitsyn's Story: the Gulag Years. Or, My Family Starved During the Holodomor, or, The Great Leap Forward into the Grave, or, The Killing Fields or...
Commie/Nazi aside...they are government atrocities. Bombing German civilian targets, nuking Japan, internment of Japanese-American citizens...forward to today's forced medication, attempted genocide through immigration.. I could go on.
And to AT's point, I don't know how you can believe anything about historical figures anymore just based on the frivolous lies they tell about Trump. "VERY FINE PEOPLE!" "It was an INSURRECTION!"

They were fighting for your future. For us. Our ancestors were sent to defeat them or die trying. We fought the wrong enemy.
You bring up a good perspective.
Imo, Erwin Rommel is the best of best.
No major movie has been made about him.
He saved so many American and Brit lives.
