This is where it get's sticky. One one hand, you could argue that removing perfectly healthy tissue is mutilation, and therefore ethically wrong.
Then, I look at people such as Angela Jolie (yes, she's possibly unbalanced), but she had her breasts removed due to a genetic likelihood of developing breast cancer. So, she made the decision to "hopefully" avoid cancer by removing the tissue, before anything developed. This unfortunately became public (and I would support any decision an adult makes, with pertinent information, for their life).
But to remove tissue on children, for a fashion trend - absolutely not.
