You betcha Saggy. To give perspective in case you've never been to Houston, Houston covers a huge land area like LA does, maybe even larger if you include the entire metro area. I live on the other side of Houston from Dear Park and don't expect to see or smell any smoke from this fire.
As for dear park, this whole region is covered in refineries and chemical plants of every type. It wouldn't take much for something to get out of hand here. However, unlike Palestine, the local emergency teams have the equipment and training to handle it when things get ugly and they've done so many, many times.
