A good friend of mine is a co-owner of a large child therapy practice (all women except 1) and is becoming increasingly frustrated in dealing with the loss of work ethic among her peers. Most of the therapists who have devoted their training and career to providing care to small children up to and including adolescents opt for providing care online versus having to see them in person. They have gotten so cozy and indifferent to the child's needs that they want to work remotely from home, rather than interacting in person.

This is nothing short of astonishing. Anyone who has ever had children or dealt with them in any regular way know they shouldn't/can't try to do therapy online. It's bad enough the schools did this during the pandemic, and you see how that turned out.

The fact the therapists are more interested in their own self-interests instead of the children they treat is infuriating. Like the physicians who "just followed orders" during covid, the people who I thought actually gave a damn about their patients/clients don't.

The Great Awakening can't come fast enough.
