So, according to you, haste is good even if it results in 5 truckloads of chemical waste being refused and sent back to East Palestine, with no assurance that future truckloads will find a resting place. Uh-huh. Logic that operates without regard to the real world.
I think the issue you have is that you're not factoring in the suspicious and malicious behavior of EPA. Disregarding that makes you illogical. Ultimately, the logistics don't matter if there is criminal intent to do harm.
They never told the places they were transporting to that there were hazardous chemicals in the cargo. If the cities knew, they would never allow this. Not only that, but they blew up the cargo when it arrived in those cities so that the chemicals can spread on the ground and in the air. That's why there were massive fires in Mexico and deer park.
You're harping on the logistics of cargo being refused and sent back when the focus should be on the corruption involved in the transporting. There's a group of people trying to kill an entire population and you're arguing about transport efficiency. Is this what you call logic that operates with regard to the real world?
You are acting like the EPA is a monolith, a single person. They are an organization, of many people. There are good and bad people, working under good and bad policies and management decisions. One has to look at the specific situation.
Nobody tells anyone that hazardous chemicals are in the cargo. The only non-hazardous chemicals might be water or sand. Plenty of coal and petroleum. I have seen tanker cars of molten sulfur. That is what runs our industrial economy. If you didn't know this before, now you know. Pay attention to what is labeled on tanker cars in freight trains. It is an education.
They did not "blow up" the vinyl chloride. They drained it to relieve the pressure that was building to an actual explosion, and burned it off to reduce it to less hazardous chemical species. It would help to understand what happened. And I don't follow any linkage to Mexico and "deer park."
I am focused on the problem of getting the contamination removed from the human environment. You are focused on some kind of investigation that in no case will be less than months in duration, if not interminable. Tell you what...let's get the poison out of the way and work on the corruption right next.
You. are. Ignorant. Educate yourself on what is happening behind the scenes instead of believing what's stated by the media above the surface. You think the media will tell you the truth? You have to do your research and use critical thinking skills to see beneath the surface.
The train was 1000% blown up with explosives. There's no denying this unless you are someone who is extremely Ignorant. It's clear you don't follow any linkage at all regarding the matter. Just keep reading news articles and believing them. Let the intelligent people piece together the patterns and pieces.
The ignorance! It reeks! The train was NOT "blown up with explosives" (one huge kaboom!). The vinyl chloride tanks were perforated with shaped charges so the contents would drain into a fire pit and combust. Combustion is not detonation. I worked in munitions and combustion, so I understand this. Or, the tanks would have exploded from overpressurization, launching a deadly chemical in all directions to considerable distances, where it would quickly evaporate and blanket the ground for the enjoyment of anyone breathing. Take your pick. I guess you would have done nothing...and enjoyed the pressure explosion. Then indeed, you "intelligent people" would have to "piece together the patterns and pieces."
