Only a normie could come up with this scenario. It completely ignores all the geopolitical context of current and past events. Russia is taking it slow because it's reverse Afghanistan. The longer the US-NATO support Ukraine the more they drain themselves, and the more they damage themselves in optics to their people, the more they lose control of the narratve. Russias goal has never been to take Ukraine, that is only a mechanism for the true strategic goal of breaking NATO, and Biden's corrupt ties in Ukraine while having abysmal popular support are the perfect opportunity.
