What’s the logic in waiting until after this point?
I could post links to various technologies already able to generate video from text. Voice cloning is easy now. Deep Fakes are too. Etc.

I agree. However, upon further reflection, the technology isn't new, it might be new to us regular folks not in the know, but it has to have been around for quite some time.
Now, what if you allow the technology to become mainstream? As long as you have hard proof you can debunk the attempts to say deepfake and perhaps put the deepfake technology to rest. You need hard proof either way.
