The thing is they just don't care. If it's convenient they will use the blood you donate, if not they will think "this idiot thinks it makes a difference but it doesn't so no harm no foul" and just do what they want. The medical community but for a few is overwhelmingly arrogant.

Before my 14 hour surgery I was SO concerned they would give me blood. I asked them if I could donate my own and they were incredulous and wanted to know WHY? I wasn’t going to go on an anti-vaxx rant about their attitude so I just said “because I’m the perfect match FOR ME”. They were too dumb to get my insinuation ie they knew I was unvaxxed. They just said it was never needed before with my operation so don’t worry about it so I rolled the dice. Thanks to God it wasn’t required.
