Safety risks my a_ _? Now I am not saying we should do this, but obviously the government doesn’t give one hoot about safety otherwise Covid shots would have been pulled long ago. No, the government is waiting for Musk to hand it over, or they will steal it and use it for their own ill gotten gains.
Thank you! People should familiarize themselves with his reasoning before proving their ignorance on the topic. His whole point is that we need to do this and get ahead of it as best we can before someone else does it. Is it a shitty situation? Yes. But we’re not doing ourselves any good if we run away from it because we are scared. Evil has no f***s to give. Brain - machine interfaces will happen. Not sure I want Elon leading the charge, but I sure as hell don’t want the government doing it.
Your last sentence - I totally agree. When the experiments for neuralink were done on monkeys and other animals, many of them died horrendously painful deaths. Neuralink didn't work.
How do you make sure it doesn't kill people if you refuse to test it? That is the whole purpose of animal testing. Get it to a baseline before trying it on people.
