Very good. I have this arrangement but with a 12v powerport to USB adaptor and also a powerport socket to crocodile clips adaptor and I can then charge from 12V lead acid batteries such as car batteries or smaller sealed lead acid batteries.
It's part of my general battery backup kit which consists of multiple lead acid batteries in different places and various adapters and chargers and inverters.
I have a small solar panel which I rotate round some of the batteries to trickle charge them.
The power hardly goes off where I live, but when it does, I can power my internet connection, my gas boiler and maybe the fridge freezer for a while. I practice from time to time.
