For Mars: We must be careful to fully sterilize our landing craft as not to contaminate the planet to safeguard any potential life there.

For Earth: Let's pull that sucker out of there in pieces, stomp on it for good measure, and toss it in the trash. It's just a worthless clump of cells. But lets still illegally sell its body parts for a profit and get heels-up to run defense for us.
